CelinderWORKS is a design house, a guitar workshop, and a sound studio and functions as an umbrella comprising CELINDER (Fine Handmade Bass Guitars), Chris Celinder Guitars, Celinder Pickups and TMN Studios (Too Many Notes).

Here I design, build, voice and test my guitars, basses, and pickups. I take great pride in putting out only world class work, that will stand the test of time. I have been doing this professionally since 1987. (I built my first bass back in 1980 and from then on there was no looking back). And everything is still done mostly by hand.

The Basses

CELINDER Fine Handmade Bass Guitars has been my main focus since 1987. Having built instruments for a whole bunch of my personal heroes (some of which actually prompted me to pick up the instrument back in the late 70's) I have been very fortunate to cater to some of the absolute best bassists on this planet.

The Guitars

Chris Celinder Guitars is my offering to the discerning guitarist. Like with some of my bass models my guitars are mainly rooted in tradition, but I deconstruct the tradition and seek to give my take on where the designs from the hand of a brilliant industrial designer and radio technician could benefit from a luthier's standpoint and insight. 

The Pickups

Celinder Pickups is an effort to bring my own sound to my own instruments. I approach the challenge like I do my other work. Slowly, meticulously, stubbornly. Using old-school proven techniques and handwork of a bygone era. In the end the results speak for themselves. Let your ears decide...
